Thank you for your interest in becoming a voice artist with VoiceStudio.

We’d love to hear from you and we accept all styles/age ranges/languages… but have quite specific technical requirements that need to be fulfilled in order for us to consider your application:
 
You must have regular easy access to professional voice studio facilities (good home studios preferred) with the ability to record on PC, as we will ask you to submit recordings via our bespoke software, which is not yet compatible with Macs.
 
You need to be proficient at editing your recordings to a consistent high standard. We generally require recordings to be supplied as individual files, trimmed to length and with breaths and any other extraneous noises removed.
 
We will pay a fair rate for each voice recording we ask you to supply to us but we are unable to cover external studio fees or session fees.

Please do not submit a voice demo if you are not able to fulfil these requirements on a regular basis.

NOTES:

The script should be read in as close to your natural style as possible, though you may like to inject a bit of range in the *STYLE* and *AGE* section. Feel free to use contractions such as “I’ve” for “I have”, etc if it fits your style.

*NAME*	is your first or given name only.
*TIME*	is the approximate length of time you have been a Voice Artist.
*TYPE OF WORK*	Television? Radio? IVR?
*CLIENTS*	The BBC? Sony? Eddie’s Chip Shop?
*STYLE*	Warm? Corporate?
*AGE*	erm…

FILE FORMATING INSTRUCTIONS:

Please deliver the file by email in MONO MP3 format (128kbps) to: scripts@advitel.com. Don’t forget to include your contact details in the email!

We’ll need your audio file delivered ‘topped and tailed’ (One tenth of a second of silence at the start and end) with breath sounds removed (by silencing breaths, rather than deleting them, so as to keep the ‘pace’ of the recording correct).

We ask that any audio gating is turned off and that any compression is kept to a MINIMUM! We can always add compression at this end if we need to.

Please note, this script is not cast in stone. Ad-libs are fine, as long as each section is covered. Aim for a demo length of 30 seconds, as clients won’t listen to much more.
